Ancho-chile Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dry wine
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 4 tablespoons fresh oregano leaves or 4 teaspoons dry oregano
  • 2 tablespoons dried ancho chile powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 add the wine, oil, garlic, oregano, ancho chile powder, lemon juice, green onions, brown sugar, salt and pepper into a blender. blend the mixture until smooth.
  • 2 marinate 2 - 24 hours.
