Apple-sausage Cheddar Quiche

Ingredients

- 1 (9 inch) pastry dough
- 1 lb ground lamb sausage
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup peeled chopped cooking apple (such as rome beauty)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- paprika
Recipe
- 1 fit piecrust into a 9 ½-inch deep-dish pieplate.
- 2 fold ends under, and crimp.
- 3 prick bottom and sides of piecrust with a fork. bake at 400 for 8 minute.
- 4 brown sausage in a large skillet, stirring until it crumbles; drain.
- 5 cool.
- 6 combine sausage, cheese, and next 5 ingredients; spoon into prepared crust.
- 7 beat eggs and milk at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended.
- 8 pour over sausage mixture; sprinkle lightly with paprika.
- 9 bake at 325 for 50 minutes before serving.
