Flat Iron Steak Marinade

Ingredients

• Servings: 2
• 1 (8 ounce) flat iron steak
• salt and ground black pepper to taste
• 3/4 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
• 1/2 cup ketchup
• 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

• place steak into a casserole dish and season with salt and black pepper.
• whisk cola-flavored beverage, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, garlic, chili powder, salt, mustard, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl; pour over steak.
• marinate steak in the refrigerator, at least 1 hour to overnight.
