Aromatic Herbed Bread Filled With Prosciutto

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon fast rising yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 -4 ounces prosciutto, sliced very thin
- 1/2 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon herbs (i use dried blend of aromatic herbs, onions, garlic)
Recipe
- 1 place all the bread ingredients except prosciutto in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
- 2 select dough cycle and start machine.
- 3 at end of cycle take dough out and punch dough down and flatten; roll to a rectangle. place prosciutto over in a single layer then roll up as a jelly roll.
- 4 score top. place loaves on greased cookie sheet. cover; let rise until double, about 40 hour.
- 5 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
- 6 brush loaf with milk. sprinkle with herbs. bake until a hollow sound when tapped, about 25 minutes; cool on wire racks.
