Adobong Pusit Filipino Squid

Ingredients

- 1/2 lb squid
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 5 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup onion
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 bay leaf
Recipe
- 1 clean squid.
- 2 chop tomatoes.
- 3 crush garlic.
- 4 slice onion.
- 5 combine water, vinegar, pepper, sugar, salt, bay leaf and half of the garlic.
- 6 marinate squid in this mixture for 1 hour.
- 7 drain squid, keeping the marinade.
- 8 in pan, saute onion, remaining garlic and tomato in the oil.
- 9 add drained squid.
- 10 saute until juice evaporates, about 10 minutes.
- 11 strain marinade.
- 12 add to squid mixture.
- 13 simmer 15 minutes.
