Asian-glazed Steaks

Total Time: 8 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 3 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 sirloin steaks
  • 6 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons plum preserves
  • 1/2 lime, grated zest and juice
  • 2 scallions, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 2 inches piece fresh gingerroot, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 place all the marinade ingredients into a large shallow bowl.
  • 2 add the steaks, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, or overnight, if time allows.
  • 3 remove the steaks from the marinade and reserve the marinade mixture.
  • 4 cook the steaks according to preference on a preheated grill, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade.
