Aunt Sharon's Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1 lb italian sausage
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon basil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 lb canned tomato, chopped
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 10 ounces lasagna noodles
- 3 cups ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese (sliced thin)
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 brown sausage and drain off fat. add next 5 ingredients. simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 2 cook lasagna noodles until tender. drain and rinse.
- 3 combine remaining ingredients, except mozzarella.
- 4 place half of the noodles in a 13x9 pan. spread 1/2 ricotta mixture over noodles. add 1/2 the meat mixture and 1/2 the mozzarella. repeat with a second layer.
- 5 bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. let stand 10 minutes before serving.
