Award-winning Texas Chili

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb very coarsely ground venison or 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 32 ounces water

Recipe

  • 1 brown the first 4 ingredients in heavy cooking pot.
  • 2 add the last three ingredients and then heat to a hard fast boil.
  • 3 turn down and simmer for 45 minutes.
