Asian Style Chicken And Cabbage

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken cutlets (cut in half)
  • 8 ounces all-natural plum sauce
  • 1/2-3/4 cup organic chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons crushed garlic
  • 8 ounces cut cabbage (like for coleslaw)
  • black pepper
  • sesame oil

Recipe

  • 1 grease a large and deep skillet/pan with sesame oil.
  • 2 add chicken cutlets and brown over medium heat.
  • 3 while chicken is browning, prepare sauce: mix plum sauce, broth, ginger, garlic, and pepper. if the mix has too much kick, dilute with more broth.
  • 4 when cutlets are browned, pour sauce over chicken cutlets and reduce to a simmer or low boil.
  • 5 cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, turning the cutlets occasionally making sure they are even.
  • 6 remove chicken from the pan.
  • 7 add cabbage mix to the sauce and cook until cabbage has an al dente consistency.
  • 8 arrange the chicken over the cabbage and serve!
