Amazing Alfredo

Ingredients

- 1 (8 ounce) package portabella mushrooms
- 1 (16 ounce) package bacon, thick cut preferred
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 (1 5/8 ounce) alfredo sauce mix, knorr preferred
- 2 (12 ounce) packages fettuccine
- 2 cups 2% low-fat milk
Recipe
- 1 cut bacon strips into 1/2" pieces, fry, drain, and set aside.
- 2 cut mushrooms into small pieces, lightly saute in bacon drippings, and set aside.
- 3 heat cream, milk, and butter in a medium/large stock pot over medium heat. at a light simmer, add the sauce mix and stir well.
- 4 when the sauce has thickened (2-4 mins), reduce the heat and add the bacon and mushrooms.
- 5 prepare noodles to al dente, drain, and add to the sauce mix. toss the mixture until all the noodles are well coated.
- 6 plate immediately, top with fresh grated parmesan cheese, and serve with warm garlic bread.
