Amazing Alfredo

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (8 ounce) package portabella mushrooms
  • 1 (16 ounce) package bacon, thick cut preferred
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 (1 5/8 ounce) alfredo sauce mix, knorr preferred
  • 2 (12 ounce) packages fettuccine
  • 2 cups 2% low-fat milk

Recipe

  • 1 cut bacon strips into 1/2" pieces, fry, drain, and set aside.
  • 2 cut mushrooms into small pieces, lightly saute in bacon drippings, and set aside.
  • 3 heat cream, milk, and butter in a medium/large stock pot over medium heat. at a light simmer, add the sauce mix and stir well.
  • 4 when the sauce has thickened (2-4 mins), reduce the heat and add the bacon and mushrooms.
  • 5 prepare noodles to al dente, drain, and add to the sauce mix. toss the mixture until all the noodles are well coated.
  • 6 plate immediately, top with fresh grated parmesan cheese, and serve with warm garlic bread.
